MONTZ-Pak Type B1 is the result of years of experience and development in the field of thermal separation technology with structured packings for mass transfer. MONTZ-Pak Type B1 has proven its performance in many technical applications. The exceptional properties are possible through the regular geometrical arrangement of corrugated sheets and its particular MONTZ surface structure.

Depending on the type, >5 theoretical separation steps per meter are achieved.
Inclination angles of wave channels:
Standard version with 45°
60° for larger liquid throughputs and direct heat exchangers in condensation beds
Additional angles on inclination available upon request

Stainless steels such as 1.4000, 1.4301, 1.4404, 1.4571 1.4435, 1.4539, and others
Packings are manufactured as single pieces or in segments. Packing installation is done through column shell flanges or manholes, as desired.
Retrofits:
The performance of existing columns such as crude oil columns, natural gas drying, vacuum distillation (for fatty alcohols, fatty acids, Methyl ester etc.) can be improved with upgrades.
