THORMANN®-Tray

Scrubbing processes and vacuum distillations for smallest liquid loads

The THORMANN®-Tray is a tray for scrubbing processes and vacuum distillations. It is capable of processing even smallest quantities of liquid, e.g. from 40 l/(m² h) with minimum pressure drops of ca. 1 - 2 mbar per tray.

Properties:

  • Suitable for small liquid loads (app. 40 Liter/(m² h))
  • No weaping of liquid
  • Extremely low pressure drops of ca. app. 1 mbar per tray are possible
  • Extremely high tray efficiencies
  • High flexibility
  • Liquid-sealed tray design (e.g. for scrubbing processes)
  • Special constructions for special applications

Applications:

  • Scrubbing processes, such as for Caprolactam, hydrogen sulphide, hydrogen chloride, acrylic acid
  • Long retention time trays for reactions
  • Natural gas drying
  • Fatty acid fractionation
  • Rectisol scrubbing

  • Stainless steels, such as 1.4301, 1.4404, 1.4571, 1.4000, 1.4435, 1.4539, etc.
  • Hastelloy C4, Aluminium, Copper, Titanium, Monel, Tantallum, etc.
