The first structured packing is developed by MONTZ and introduced successfully. This is the fine vacuum system “Kloß“, consisting of a capillary distribution tray, a support grating with suspended double-threaded spiral springs.
After the MONTZ tunnel traytray “System STREUBER“ was successfully introduced worldwide at the end of the 1950s, the "THORMANN®-tray" was developed.
